Chandra Jean Taborn

Chandra Jean “Chan” Taborn, 48, of Carrier Mills, IL died Wednesday March 16, 2022 at 7:00 pm at her residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 23, 2022 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Chandra was born on March 5, 1974, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Audie Taborn and the late James D. Rouse whom raised her. She was a member of the First Opportunity Freewill Baptist Church in Carrier Mills, IL. Chan was a very special lady, she was loved by everybody, and she loved doing for others endlessly. Chandra is survived by her Mother: Audie Taborn of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 Sisters: Jami Rouse of Anna, TX and Kelsie (Sharrieff) Woodson of Marion, IL; Niece: Jordan Davis of Anna, TX and Noah Davis of Anna, TX; 2 Aunts: Jeannie (Zack) Kendrick of Harrisburg, IL and Cheryl (Chuck) Drue of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Uncles: Glenn Taborn of Norris City, IL; John Taborn of Carrier Mills, IL and Victor Brown of Carrier Mills, IL; special cousins: Dustan Witherspoon, Nick Kendrick, Nata Taborn, Johnny Taborn, Nathan Taborn, Jeanie Kania, Cameron Taborn, Auburn Drue and Caden Drue as well as a host of other cousins and friends. Chandra was preceded in death by her Father: James D. Rouse; Daughter: Taylor Gray; Maternal Grandparents: Alta Jean & Ordway Taborn and Aunt: Verba Brown.
