Charles Droit

Charles Droit, 67, of Galatia, IL passed Tuesday November 24, 2020 at 12:20 pm at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Funeral services will be held Saturday November 28, 2020 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday after 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Reverend Bill Droit will officiate. He was born on August 10, 1953 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Paul and Elva (Milligan) Droit. Charles married the former Dee Dee Headrick on September 22, 1973 and she survives. He worked as a truck driver and mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed photography, fishing and playing the guitar. What he loved the most was his grandchildren and teaching a few of them how to play the guitar. He is survived by his Wife: Dee Dee Droit of Galatia, IL; Son: Bill (Beth) Droit of Galatia, IL; Daughter: Julie (Gordon) Murray of Harrisburg, IL; Sister: Phyllis (Jim) Peyton of Harrisburg, IL; 5 Grandchildren: Lindsey (Austin) Garrett of West Virginia, Christian Murray of Harrisburg, IL; Austin Droit, Kaylee (Ryan) Busenius and Gabriel Droit all Oklahoma; Great Grandchild: Addison Busenius of Oklahoma; 3 Brother In Laws: David Headrick, Rick Headrick and Kevin Headrick and 5 Sister In Laws: Jeannie Vickers, Della Horton, Carolyn Dunning, Elaine Horton and Sharon Goodman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother In Law: Bill Headrick and 2 Sister In Laws: Linda Smith and Donna Miller.
