Christine J. Vinyard

Christine J. Vinyard, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Friday May 4, 2018 at 11:30 am at her residence in Harrisburg, IL.   Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 8, 2018 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday after 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Lavender Cemetery. Reverend Deon Dutton and Reverend Jerry Wells will officiate.   She was born on July 4, 1931 in Karbers Ridge, IL to the late Ottie and Mina (Vanbiber ) Hubbard.   She married Herbert D. Vinyard on February 14, 1967 in Chicago, IL and he survives. Other survivors include: 2 Children: Arthur (Judy) Baldwin of Harrisburg, IL and Linda Murphy of Marion, IL; 2 Step-Children: Larry Vinyard of Byron, IL and Linda Ridgewater of Sandwich, IL; Sister: Marcella Belt of Elizabethtown, IL; 10 Grandchildren: Tina, Dion, Charlotte, David, Scott, Richard, Randy, Laura, Adam and Matthew; 14 Great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild due in June.   She was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Junior Hubbard, James Hubbard, Otis Deneen Hubbard and Arlen Gene Hubbard; and 3 Sisters: Buelah Hubbard, Lora Davis and Betty Holland.   The love of her life was God and her family. When her health allowed her, the last few years she attended Dorrisville Social Brethern Church in Harrisburg, IL. She was happiest when she was with her family. Christine was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
