Claudie F. Lloyd

Claudie F. Lloyd, 83, of Harrisburg, IL died at his residence on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. His wishes were to be cremated. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with arrangements. Further details will be added at a later date. Claudie was born on June 25, 1941 in Caney, KS to the late Claude and Frances (Hartman) Lloyd. He married the former Doris Sanders who preceded him in death in May of 2006. Later, he married the former Peggy Tolley Comer who preceded him in death in July of 2024. Claudie proudly served our country in both the United States Army and United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he went on to work as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Claudie enjoyed fishing and woodworking in his free time. He was passionate about his time in the military and loved sharing stories and experiences with his granddaughter who also served. Claudie is survived by his Daughters: Tawnya (Greg) Fairchild of Paris, IL and Renee (Troy) Epperson of Mattoon, IL; Step-daughter: Stacy (Jarrod) Sumner of Carrier Mills, IL, Step-son: Clarence (Chris) Comer Jr. of Marion, IL; Sisters: Glendene (Bob) Early of Wichita, KS and Shirley Ann (Dave) Hensley of Wichita, KS; Grandchildren: Breanna Wilson, Richard (Madi) Fairchild, Gabrielle (Andrew) Gernigin, Natasha Stingley, Christopher (Alexis) Stingley, Hannah Stingley; Step-Grandchildren: Alexis Vaughn, Whitney Kuhlman and Bryary Kuhlman; Great-grandchildren: Sienna Wilson and Paisley Wilson, Step-great-grandchildren: Brandon Walker, Kyzer Vaughn and Mars Vaughn. He was preceded in death by his parents: Claude and Frances (Hartman) Lloyd and brother: Gerald Lloyd.
