Cloyd Wilbert Dunn

Cloyd Wilbert Dunn, 96, of Carrier Mills, IL died on Sunday October 13, 2024 at Saline Care Nursing Center in Harrisburg, IL. His wishes were to be cremated. Graveside services with Military Rites will be held Saturday November 2, 2024 at 11 am at Salem Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the US Navy, Carrier Mills American Legion, Harrisburg American Legion and Harrisburg VFW Ritual team. Dinner will follow at Macedonia Baptist Church at Mitchellsville, IL. Felty Funeral Home of Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the arrangements. Cloyd was born on September 13, 1928 to the late Plumy and Sybel Fay (Parks) Dunn of Carrier Mills, IL. He married the former Marguerite Farthing and she preceded him in death. He later married the former Barbara Healy who also preceded him in death. He was a Veteran and proudly served our country during World War II. After his military service Cloyd went on to work as a Coal Miner. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting. Cloyd is survived by his daughters: Nancy Davis and Mollie Dunn both of Carrier Mills, IL, his son: James Dunn and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Plumy and Sybel Fay (Parks) Dunn; daughter: Cathy Felty, son: Mike Dunn, and brother Billy Dean Dunn.
