Darius Brownlee, 24, of Louisville, KY formerly of Carrier Mills, IL died Saturday August 27, 2022 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Thursday September 1, 2022 at 12 Noon at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 am until service time at Felty Funeral Home in Carrrier Mills, IL. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. He was born on November 3, 1997 in Carbondale, IL to Chrishawna Johnson and Richard Brownlee. Originally from Carrier Mills, IL he was a country boy at heart, with city style. Most people knew Darius better as 2X's. He enjoyed spending his days with all of his family, as family was very important to him. He always had a talent for basketball with a perfect left hand shot. He enjoyed listening to his music and riding through the city. He brought life into every room he walked into, he was truly loved and will be missed dearly. He is survived by his Mother: Chrishawna (Calva Everett) Johnson of Louisville, KY; Father: Richard Brownlee of Texas; Stepfather: Tyron Smith of Louisville, KY; Siblings: Mya Smith, Dante Smith and Damion Smith all of Louisville, KY; Riche` Brownlee and Rakia Brownlee both of Texas; Grandmother: Linda Kincaid of Louisville, KY; Grandfather: Billy Moss of Harrisburg, IL; Niece: Kendyll; Nephew: Dashon; Girlfriend: Lauryn Thompson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents: Otha and Melvin Johnson and Walter and Henrietta Moss and Cousin: Christopher “Uno” Ward.
