Obituary Darla K. Brown, 67, of Harrisburg, IL died Monday, May 15, 2023 at 4:25 pm at Harrisburg Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 20, 2023 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday after 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery and Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. She was born on December 14, 1955 in Chicago, IL to the late Orvan Leroy Lyles and Ferbey Marie (Allen) Lyles whom survives. She had a Bachelors degree in Education and was a retired school teacher, teaching in many schools in the area including Carrier Mills/Stonefort High School. She loved to read and do research on many things. Darla is survived by her Son: Christopher (Adrienne) Brown of Harrisburg, IL; Mother: Ferbey Lyles of Chicago, IL; 2 Grandchildren: Alahna Brown and Carter Brown both of Harrisburg, IL; Brother: Kevin (Pam) Lyles of Chicago, IL; Sister: Aundria Pluck of Texas, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Father: Orvan Leroy Lyles; Brother: Thomas Orvan Lyles MD and Former Husband: John “Hootie” Brown.
