Darwin Ray Blake

Darwin Ray Blake, 87, long time resident of Summit, IL late of Palos Park, IL and formerly of Carrier Mills, IL passed away peacefully Friday December 20, 2024 at 9:10 am surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 25, 1937 in Dugger, IN to the late Richard Arnold and Winnie Elizabeth (Meeks) Blake. Darwin graduated Carrier Mills/Stonefort High School in 1955. He later served in the US Army. He was the beloved husband for 62 years to the love of his life Janice Richardson; cherished father of Sherry (Mike) Williams; devoted Pa to Michael Ray, Karsyn and Conner Williams all of Palos Park, IL; dear brother of Delola Maciel of Redmon, WA; Delice (Ernest) Felty of Harrisburg, IL and Arrawhanna (Jeff) Yates of O 'Fallon, IL; dear brother in law of Dorothy (late Bill) Bonbrake; the late James (late Mary Jane) Richardson and the late Bobby Leroy (Joyce) Richardson. Darwin will be remember fondly by his many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday December 23, 2024 from 3 to 7 pm at the Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave, Summit, IL 60501. Celebration of Life service will be held at 4 pm with Pastor Wayne Basch officiating. With broken hearts we say goodbye to Darwin who battled his physical challenges with dignity and courage. May he rest in eternal peace.
