Deborah Benson

Deborah Benson, 61, of Eldorado, IL died Thursday February 6, 2020 at 9:32 am at her residence.   Memorial services will be held Saturday February 15, 2020 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 am until 11 am. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery at a later date.   Deborah was born on May 6, 1958 in Harrisburg, IL to the late George Benson and the former Carolyn Parks, who survives.   She was a retired school teacher from Eldorado Grade School where she taught the 5th grade for many years.   She was very involved with the wellness of animals, she worked with pet adoption and pet rescue for many years.   Deborah was survived by her Mother: Carolyn Benson of Carrier Mills, IL; Son: Kirby (Kayla) King of Mt Vernon, IL; 2 Grandchildren: Aidan King and Creed King both of Mt Vernon, IL; Uncle: Rex “Buddy” Parks of Ozark, IL and Aunt: Mary Evers of Cape Girardeau, MO.   She was preceded in death by her Father: George Benson and Brother: Donald Joe Benson.
