Derrylene “Dee Dee” Newsome, 65, of Harrisburg, IL died Saturday September 9, 2023 at 11:57 pm at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. Memorial services will be held Sunday September 17, 2023 at 2 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Sunday after 12 noon until service time. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Dee Dee was born on July 7, 1958 in Pontiac, MI. She was raised by Derral and Terie Redwine. She was a retired certified nursing assistant. She was a member of the Harrisburg Apostolic Church Of God. She loved to crochet, doing puzzles, reading, taking care of her grandchildren and and anything that had to do with Elvis Presley. Dee Dee is survived by her Father: Derral Redwine of Boise, Idaho; 3 Children: Deedria (Michael) DeMartino of Bloomington, IL; Rochea Newsome of Harrisburg, IL and Harold Newsome Jr of Harrisburg, IL; 9 Siblings: Diane Hoopingarden of Davisburg, MI; Nancy Redwine of Herrin, IL; David Redwine of Appleton, WI; Nina Sherrod Of Golconda, IL; Derral Redwine Jr of Paducah, KY; William Redwine II of Boise, Idaho; Lyndell Redwine of Paducah, KY; Mark Donovan and Scott Donovan both of Michigan; 4 Stepchildren: Shalese Sherwani, Christy Hayes, James Hayes and Nathan (Laci) Hayes, 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a Daughter: Dyia Newsome and Granddaughter: Heaven Newsome and her Mothers: Kay Green and Terie Redwine.
