Dorothy B. (Cowper) Baker, 89 of Carrier Mills, IL died Tuesday July 14, 2020 at 10:30 am in Alton, IL. Private graveside services will be held Friday July 17, 2020 at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. There will be no visitation. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. She was born on March 15, 1931 in Smithland, Kentucky to the late Galbert and Iva (Miles) Cowper. She married Willie E. Baker on September 29, 1960 and he preceded in death on May 9, 2015. She was a member of the Mt. Ararat Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, TN. She is survived by 4 Nieces: Margaret Covington and Wanda Louise Chapman both of Alton, IL; Mary Maggaline Day and Lisa Kuro both of Carrier Mills, IL; Nephew: Robert Cowper of Carrier Mills, IL. Dorothy was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: William Maloy Cowper, Charles Cowper, Fred Cowper and 2 Sisters: Carrie Mason and Annette Strickland.
