Edward W. "Bud" Hankins

Edward W. “Bud” Hankins, 83, of Harrisburg, IL died Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 9:45 pm at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday April 17, 2021 at 12 Noon at the New Life Christian Church in Equality, IL. Visitation will be held Saturday after 10 am at the church. Reverend Ken Blumenstock and Reverend Blake Clayton will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, IL. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. He was born on March 16, 1938 in Harco, IL to the late Oval and Marie (Medlen) Hankins. He married the former Betty Tate and she preceded in death; he later married the former Billie Stevens on September 2, 1972 and she preceded in death on December 20, 2014, and is was currently married to the former Sherree Nalley on June 5, 2016 and she survives. He was a retired coal miner and farmer. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and also a member on the New Life Christian Church which he loved very much. He is survived by his Wife: Sherree Hankins of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Brothers: Dayton Hankins of Oklahoma and Charles Hankins of Anna, IL; 5 Children: Bennie Lee Hankins, Buddy Ross Hankins, John Blake Hankins, Rebecca Lynn Hankins and Bonnie Spragues; 7 Stepchildren including Karen Ragon of Harrisburg, IL; several grandchildren and step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, Son: Daniel Bruce Hankins and several brothers and sisters.
