George G. Cullum

George G. Cullum, 83, of Marion, IL died Thursday September 24, 2020 at 10:20 am at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL. Funeral services will be held Sunday September 27, 2020 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Sunday after 11 am until service time. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery near Pittsburg, IL. Reverend Jimmy Reynolds will officiate. He was born on August 30, 1937 in Shawneetown, IL to the late Virgil and Mary (Burris) Cullum. He married the former Brenda Lee Evrard on June 4, 1956 and she survives. George worked as a coal miner for many years, he also drove a train, managed a semi company and was also a farmer. George loved to race, he also loved tinkering on semi's and vehicles. His real love in life was his family. He is survived by his wife: Brenda Lee Cullum; 4 Daughters: Toni (David) Sinks of Eldorado, IL; Tracy Cullum of Marion, IL; Tina (David) Beasley of West Frankfort, IL; and Trisha (Denny) Halleran of Marion, IL. George was a loving Grandpa of 5 grandchildren: Valerie (Troy) Williams, Derrick (Danielle) Sinks, Blake Reamy, Kayla Halleran and Coy Halleran and 6 Great Grandchildren: Afton Williams, Klayton Williams, Anthony Williams, Darin Sinks, Victoria Sinks and Payton Reamy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother: Claude Cullum and 2 infant sons.
