George Layman Russell Jr.

George Layman Russell Jr., 73, of New Burnside, IL died Wednesday June 27, 2018 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Evansville, IN. It was his request to be cremated. There will be no services. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family.   He was born on April 2, 1945 in Harrisburg, IL to the late George Layman and Clara Mae (Cook) Russell Sr.   He married the former Belinda Morris on November 2, 1996 and she survives.   He was a retired EMT and was a former New Burnside Volunteer Fireman.   Survivors include Wife: Belinda Russell of New Burnside, IL; 4 Step Children: Michael Martin of Arizona, Brad Martin of Arkansas, Amy Wood and Betsy Lance both of New Burnside, IL; 6 Children: Jeff Russell of Romeoville, IL, Eric Beasley, Tim Russell, Sarah Moen and Scotty Russell all of Wisconsin and Todd Russell of Michigan; 2 Sisters: Lucy Conley of New Burnside, IL and Lola Allen of Dunnellon, FL; 2 Brothers: Phillip Russell of Ozark, IL and Joe Russell of New Burnside, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Sherman Russell and Jerry Russell.
