Jackie L. Hurd, 76, of Swartz Creek, MI formerly of Carrier Mills, IL died Friday April 28, 2023 at 9:25 am at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, MI. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 3, 2023 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday after 10 am until service time. Reverend Gary Simmons will officiate and Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. He was born on February 13, 1947 in Eldorado, IL to the late Roland and Martha (Horton) Hurd. He married the former Barbara Griffith on August 5, 1978 and she preceded in death on September 10, 2015. Jack was a retired laborer from Harrisburg Manufacturing better known as The Cap Factory. He loved to Coon Hunt and trade dogs with his friends. He is survived by his Son: Jack R. (Lisa) Hurd of Muddy, IL; 2 Daughters: Carla (Jay) Ross of Burton, MI and Melissa Hurd of Swartz Creek, MI; Sister: Lola Valdez of Harrisburg, IL; 1 Grandchild: Trevor Hurd, 2 Great grandchildren: Calee Hurd and Vincent Hurd and a 2 Great great grandchildren: Carter & Karson He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife: Barbara Hurd; 2 Sons: Will Hurd and Jackie L. Hurd Jr; and 2 Grandchildren: Curtis Hurd and Hailey Natzel.
