Jackie Dean Overstreet

  Jackie Dean Overstreet, 79, of Carrier Mills, IL died Tuesday February 12, 2019 at 10:02 pm at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.   Funeral services will be held Saturday February 16, 2019 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL; Visitation will be Saturday after 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Salem Cemetery. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.   He was born on December 15, 1939 in Saline County, IL to the late Cecil and Juanita (Johnson) Overstreet.   He married the former Mary Pyle on January 6, 1962, and she survives.   Jack was a retired coal miner, he worked most of his career at the Will Scarlet mine in Carrier Mills, IL and later on at a couple others after Will Scarlet closed.   He is survived by his Wife: Mary Overstreet of Carrier Mills, IL; Daughter: Kim (Randy) Futch of Carrier Mills, IL; Grandson: Ryan Overstreet of Princeton, IN; 2 Brothers: George (Rita) Overstreet of Stonefort, IL and James “Jim” Overstreet of Carrier Mills, IL and Sister: Mary (James) Pennell of Kentucky.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Son: Brian Scott Overstreet and Daughter: Sonya Lynn Overstreet; and 2 Brothers: John Overstreet and Cecil “Butch” Overstreet.
