Jerry Lee Crowder

Jerry Lee Crowder, 77, of Harrisburg, IL died Friday February 22, 2019 at 9:45 pm at Marion VA Nursing Home.   Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 26, 2019 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Tuesday after 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery with military rites performed by the Carrier Mills American Legion, Harrisburg American Legion and the Army National Guard Ritual Team.   He was born on January 16, 1942 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Ferrell and Thelma (Doolin) Crowder.   Jerry was a Army Veteran serving as a Medic during the Berlin Crisis.   Jerry worked many years as a supervisor at the Pontiac State Hospital until his retirement. He was also a lifetime member of the Harrisburg VFW.   He is survived by a Brother: Ron Crowder of Carrier Mills, IL and Sister: Sue Beltz of Harrisburg, IL; several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 Brothers: Bill Crowder and Glendal Crowder.
