Joann Dunn, 92, of Carrier Mills, IL died on Thursday July 18, 2024 at 5:50 AM at Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, IL. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 20, 2024 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held on Saturday after 9:30 am until service time. Jeff Mitchell will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Joann was born on April 30, 1932 in Centerville, IL to the late Earl Lee and Ellen Mae (Chaney) Rice. She worked as a Clerk at K-Mart for many years. She enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and tending to her flowers, Joann is survived by her six children: Robert Earl Field of Arizona, Jerry (Evelyn) Field of Carrier Mills, IL, Becky (Kenny) Swisher or Marion, IL; Monty (Rhonda) Dunn or Stonefort, IL, Kent Dunn of Harrisburg, IL and Pam Dunn of Carrier Mills, IL; a sister Peggy Gulley of Carrier Mills, IL; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl Lee and Ellen Mae (Chaney) Rice; siblings Billie Earl Rice and Rosemary Rice; and son Dean Dunn.
