Joanne "Jo Jo" Miller

Joanne “Jo Jo” E. Miller, 80, of Carrier Mills, IL died Friday March 11, 2022 at her residence. Graveside services will be held Monday March 14, 2022 at 10 am at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Monday after 9 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Father Christian Iwuagwu will officiate. Joanne was born on July 17, 1941 in Chicago, IL to the late John and Josephine Mary (Zukauski) Crain. She married Otto “Danny” Miller on November 29, 1969 and he preceded in death on February 15, 2017. She worked as a proofreader for a bank in Chicago, IL for many years until her retirement and moving to Carrier Mills, IL in 1992 with her Husband, Danny, they loved spending time with their family particularly their nieces and nephews. They enjoyed each other as husband and wife, along with their dogs; Brandy and then Bailey. They loved to travel and go camping. JoJo always kept a well manicured lawn, and loved animals, nature and tinkering in the yard. She was a member of the St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. She also attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Harrisburg, IL. Joanne is survived by 2 Sisters: Loretta (Marvin) Smith of Chicago, IL and Rosalynn (Jerry) Altenbach of Palm Coast, FL; Several nieces and nephews including: Marvin (Brenda) Smith Jr; David (Carlotta) Smith; Scott LaPaglia; Shawna LaPaglia and Matthew LaPaglia and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a Brother: John Joseph Crain and Sister: Annarose Gogue.
