John C. Groves Jr.

John C. Groves Jr., 90, of Creal Springs, IL died Thursday December 15, 2022 at 10:15 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Monday December 19, 2022 at 2 pm at Zion Cemetery near Ozark, IL. Reverend Jeff Owens will officiate. There will be no visitation, all friends should go directly to the cemetery. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. He was born on March 28, 1932 in Evansville, IN to the late John C. and Callie (Williams) Groves Sr. He married the former Martha Warren in October of 1993 and she preceded in death on February 22, 2001. He was a retired fork lift operator, he loved to fish and mow his yard. He was also a member of the Stonefort General Baptist Church. He is survived by 7 Children: Connie Crow of Petersburg, IN; Doris Richardson of Princeton, IN; Don Groves of Creal Springs, IL; Robert Groves of Princeton, IN; Fredrick Groves of Evansville, IN; Dave Groves of New Burnside, IL and Angel Milligan of Benton, IL; Sister: Ann Horn of Creal Springs, IL and Brother: Leon Groves of Carmi, IL and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wife: Martha Groves and Brother: Keith Groves.
