John Earnest Hopper

John Earnest Hopper, 40, of SRA-Spencer House in Norris City, IL departed this world on Tuesday September 14, 2021 at 2:15 pm at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. John was cremated, a memorial graveside service will be announced later. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details. John was born on November 9, 1980 in Mt. Carmel, IL to the late Larry and Josephine (Sulzer) Hopper. John attended Brownsville School before working at Coleman Tri-County Services. He was a person with an infectious smile and personality. He was a thrill seeker at heart, loved roller coasters and got a kick out of scaring people. John also love knitting, playing games on his tablet, movies, puzzles and bowling. He was a member of the SRA Strikers bowling team and won several gold medals over the years. Anyone that ever had the pleasure of knowing John knows he had the gift of gab. He always let people know he was “John Earnest Hopper”. John will be missed greatly by many friends that he has made over the years, along with his current house mates and staff.
