Lance Deon Choate

Lance Deon Choate, 42, of New Burnside, IL died Tuesday October 19, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday October 22, 2021 at 11 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday from 9 am until service time. Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery and Brian Choate will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for the daughters educational fund. Lance was born on November 2, 1978 in Marion, IL to Randy and Debbie (Smothers) Choate. He married the former Desirea Smith on April 26, 2003 and she survives. Lance loved spending time with his girls and family as well as being a storm chaser. Lance is survived by his Wife: Desirea Choate of New Burnside, IL; 2 Daughters: Delaney Choate and Presley Choate both New Burnside, IL; Parents: Randy and Debbie Choate of Ozark, IL; Aunts and Uncles: Sandy Swan of Marion, IL; Michael (Sue) Smothers of Marion, IL; Pamela (Jerry) Bailey of Marion, IL; Brian (Laura) Choate of Herrin, IL and Kelley (Charlie) Bates of Marion, IL and several cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Carl and Jo Choate and William D. and Mary Smothers: 2 Uncles: Marty Choate and Rick Smothers and 2 Cousins: Brandon Bailey and Jeremy Rushing.
