Linda Sue Smith

Linda Sue Smith, 65, of Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday August 23, 2020 at 12:56 pm at Rock Castle Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held Friday August 28, 2020 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday after 10 am until service time. Reverend Bill Droit will officiate and burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Linda was born on February 4, 1955 in Chicago, IL to the late William H. and Norma (Ewell) Headrick. She married Bobby Smith on December 3, 1971 and he survives. She worked for many years as the Housekeeping supervisor at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home. Linda enjoyed working, gardening, watching the hummingbirds, reading her bible and especially spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her Husband: Bobby Smith of Carrier Mills, IL; 3 Children: Melissa (Mike) Vinson of Stonefort, IL; Brad (Melanie) Smith of Mt. Vernon, IL and Nicholas (Keshia) Smith of Carrier Mills, IL; 3 Brothers: David Headrick of Carrier Mills, IL; Rick Headrick and Kevin Headrick both of Harrisburg, IL; 6 Sisters: Jeannie Vickers of Stonefort, IL; Della Horton of Harrisburg, IL; Elaine Horton of Thompsonville, IL; Dee Dee Droit of Galatia, IL; Carolyn Dunning and Sharon Goodman both of Carrier Mills, IL; and 7 Grandchildren: Brandon, Zach, Faith, Josh, Riley, Kolby and Brooklyn. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; Brother: Bill Headrick and Sister Donna Miller.
