Mario James Ward, 39 of Carrier Mills, IL died Tuesday November 28, 2023 at 7:06 pm at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Private family services will be announced later. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. He was born on June 28, 1984 in Chicago, Il to the late Harold Phillip Ward and Sabrina Marie Godsey. Mario married the former Lisa Gerhardt on August 28, 2020 and she survives. He was a dog breeder and entrepreneur. He love his family, friends, animals, and all sporting events. Mario is survived by his Wife: Lisa Ward of Carrier Mills, IL; 5 Children: Imani Ward, Kalea Marshall, Lariah Marshall, Kamarion Ward and Kamani Ward all of Carrier Mills, IL; 9 Siblings: Grenada Godsey of Benton, IL; Jermaine Godsey of Louisville, KY; Nicole (Henry) Hines of Bradley, IL; Janet Godsey of Chicago, IL; Bernard Godsey of Minnesota, Michael Godsey of Harrisburg, IL; Kenna Godsey of Chicago, IL; Dina (Vincent) Villasana of Harrisburg, IL and Chris Ward of Harrisburg, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
