Mark "Squirrel" Sumner

Mark “Squirrel” Sumner, 59, of Harrisburg, IL died Friday August 2, 2019 at 12:16 am at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.   Funeral services will be held Monday August 5, 2019 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be Monday after 11 am until time of service. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with the expenses.   He was born on August 3, 1959 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Donal and Peggy (Cole) Sumner Sr.   He worked construction for many years for Ted Price Construction Company.   Squirrel was a very special person, he knew and liked everyone he met; it was easy to say he was “One of a Kind”; he helped everyone he could and never expected anything in return. He will me greatly missed by so many.   He is survived by a Son: Dane Pait of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Grandchildren: Kelsi Pait, Kayla Pait and Kaleb Pait; 2 Sisters: Wendy Neal and Paula Sumner both of Harrisburg. IL; 4 Brothers: Lanny (Teddi) Sumner of Carrier Mills, IL; Donal Sumner Jr of Harrisburg, IL; Brian Sumner of Carrier Mills, IL and Michael Sumner of Harrisburg, IL; Sister In Law: Latricia Sumner of Princeton, IN; Nieces: Mina (Mac) Lands, Mona Neal, Peggy Neal, Farrah (Brian) Hurd, Khiya Gregory, Shilea Sumner, Desirae Davenport, Candace (Alan) Hurd, Sarah Short, Salicia Sumner and Angelique Sumner; Nephews: Robert “Bucky” (Simone) Neal, Justin (Tamra) Sumner, Jarrod (Stacy) Sumner and Douglas (Courtney) Sumner; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents; Brother: Kevin Sumner; Sister In Law: Kathy Sumner and Brother In Law: Robert Neal.
