Marna Lynn Karns

Marna Lynn Karns, 59, of Equality, IL died Thursday April 21, 2022 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Cottage Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has ask for memorials in her memory be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. She was born on January 19, 1963 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Paul Murray Richerson and Edwina Kay (Craig) Taylor. She married Michael E. Karns on August 17, 1984 and he survives. Marna worked several years at the Harrisburg Salvation Army Store, where she enjoyed working because she loved helping people. until its closure. She enjoyed cooking, was an animal lover especially her cats and squirrels. Marna is survived by her Husband: Michael E. Karns of Equality, IL; 3 Daughters: Alysha (Floyd) Tellor of Desoto, IL; Makayla Karns of Equality, IL; and Phoenix (Dane) Wargel of Mt. Vernon, IN; 2 Brothers: Murray Richerson of St Peters, MO and Robert Taylor Jr of Stonefort, IL; Stepmother: Connie Richerson of Carrier Mills, IL; Stepfather: Robert Taylor Sr. of Stonefort, IL; Mother and Father In Laws: Donald L. and Rita Jane “Mickey” Karns of Harrisburg, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and Brother: Mike Richerson.
