Patsy Wasson

Patsy (Field) Wasson, 84, of Carrier Mills, IL passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday August 22, 2020. Patsy was born on November 27, 1935 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Raymond and Martha (Tanner) Field. On July 5, 1959 she married John Franklin Wasson, he preceded in death on September 19, 2016. To this union was born a Son: John Franklin Wasson II, whom also preceded in death. Patsy graduated Carrier Mills/Stonefort High School in 1953. She was previously employed in secretarial and retail clerical positions in the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg area. She was most recently employed ath the Harrisburg Walmart and the Harrisburg Medical Center. Patsy is survived by 3 Grandchildren: Holly Martin, Rachel Wasson and Taylor Wasson; 2 Great Grandchildren: Briley Janaskie and Haven Martin; 2 Brothers: William Lavern (Edna Ruth) Field of Carrier Mills, IL and Larry (Sue) Field of Harrisburg, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, close friends and her fur babies: Pebbles and Buddy. In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was also preceded in death by and infant sister: Helen Maxine Field, Sisters: Betty Renshaw and Darlene Stovall and Brothers: Charles “Dude” Field and Bob Field. In accordance with her wishes, she has been cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details.
