Reathel Wilkins

Reathel Wilkins, 83, of Carrier Mills, IL died Friday September 13, 2019 at 11:18 pm at Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL.   Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 17, 2019 at 1 pm at the Carrier Mills Social Brethren Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 am until service time at the church. Reverend Mike Smith will officiate and burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is entrusted with the services.   She was born on September 25, 1935 in Williamson County, IL to the late Cecil and Esther (Swan) Fox.   Reathel married William Douglas Wilkins and he preceded in death on May 8, 1996.   She was a member of the Carrier Mills Social Bretheren Church, She loved spending time with her family and friends.   Reathel is survived by 2 Sons: Marty (Tammy) Wilkins of Carrier Mills, IL and Shawn Wilkins of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 Sisters: Virginia Davis of Carrier Mills, IL and Kathryn Black of Crab Orchard, IL; 4 Grandchildren: Jason Wilkins, Nick Austin, Nathan Wilkins and Erika Gwaltney; and 9 Great grandchildren.   Reathel was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband: William Douglas Wilkins; Son: Dennis Wilkins; Daughter: Penny Austin; Sister: Ludene Blackman and Granddaughter: Marieca Frailey.
