Rita Lynn Pankey

Rita Lynn (Lollis) Pankey, 66, of Benton, IL formerly of Carrier Mills, IL passed away Friday August 6, 2021 at 1:39 pm at Herrin Hospital. Rita was born on September 9, 1954 at Harrisburg Medical Center the daughter of Novella (Elder) and Frank Lollis. She was a homemaker and loved creating in Paint Shop Pro. If you knew her and she loved you, you would definitely become part of her extended family or one of the many she called her “kids”. Her sharp wit and humor were as much a part of her as her big heart. Over the years she faced many health battles and was a pillar of strength, staying positive through them all. She is survived by 3 Sons: Jason Keener and his significant other Donna of Marion, IL; Will Jones and his signifiant other Talia of Benton, IL and Greg Jones and his significant other Mimi of Benton, IL; Sister: Connie Lollis Havlin and husband Don of Dyer, IN; Brother: John Lollis and wife Crystal of Carrier Mills, IL; Brother: Randy Lollis and wife Beth of Chandler, AZ; Grandchildren: Hailey, Donovan, Ally, Zach, Gillian, Emily, Jadyn and Izzabella and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents and Brother: David Lollis. Rita wished to be cremated and a celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
