Rose Elodee “Dee” (Carman) Jackson, 87, of Stonefort, IL died Thursday May 25, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 31, 2023 at 1 pm at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday after 11 am until service time. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Ozark, IL with Reverend Tommy Dutton officiating. She was born on June 1, 1935 in Rosiclare, IL to the late William and Mamie (Henson) Carman Sr. She married Gary L. Jackson Sr. on May 17, 1952 and he preceded in death on May 13, 2009. She worked many years at Kroger in the bakery department. She also was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, taking care of her animals and especially taking care of her family. She was a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church and the Stonefort Eastern Star. She is survived by 2 Sons: Gary “Chuck” (Peggy) Jackson Jr. of Derry, NH and Richard “Rick” (Gillian Rand) Jackson of Hampstead, NH; 7 Grandchildren: Rachel, Adrienne, Robbie, Gary, Stephanie, Isabella and Julie and 11 Great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Gary L. Jackson Sr; and 2 Daughters: Diana Kay Jackson and Kathy Jackson.
