Russell Lee Edwards, 92, of Harrisburg, IL died Monday December 26, 2022 at 11:00 pm at the Carrier Mills Nursing & Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held Friday December 30, 2022 at 11 am at Garris Cemetery near Stonefort, IL. Visitation will be held Friday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Pastor Ryan Beck will officiate and Military Rites will be performed by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the Army National Guard Ritual Team. He was born on May 6, 1930 in Harrisburg, IL to the late George and Marie (Lind) Edwards. He was an Army Veteran and was a member of the Willow Springs American Legion. He worked many years as a supplier for At&T and also at Western Electric in Chicago, IL before his retirement. He was also a member of the Willow Springs, IL Fire Department and served as Assistant Fire Chief in Willow Springs. He is survived by 4 Children: George Edwards of Muddy, IL; Kathrine Coseboon of Harrisburg, IL; Russell “Bounce” Edwards of Stonefort, IL and Annamarie Edwards-Angio of Harrisburg, IL; 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren and 3 Great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and Brother: Jack Edwards.
