Ruth Ann Taborn

Ruth Ann Taborn, 69, of Carrier Mills, IL died Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 10:20 pm at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Graveside services will be held Friday June 12, 2020 at 11 am at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Jerry Huckleberry will officiate. Private family visitation will be held. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. Ruth was born on December 16, 1950 in Carrier Mills, IL to the late Lorenzo and Christine (Gibbs) Taborn. Ruth worked as a manager for Hucks for several years and also at Harrisburg Kmart until they closed. She also had worked at Carrier Mills Nursing Home, Shawnee Rose Nursing Home and Brookstone Estates where she made a ton of friends. She loved to cook and read her Kindle and spend time with her family. She dearly loved her family and was a matriarch to them, she never had any children of her own, but she was a Mother to many. Ruth was also a member of the Landmark House of Praise in Carrier Mills, IL. She is survived by 2 Brothers: David Paul Taborn of Carrier Mills, IL and Dean Taborn of Carterville, IL; Sister: Ramona Williams of Louisville, KY; several nieces and nephews and her Puppies: Hannah and Bailey. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents: 7 Brothers: Tyrone, Dahl, Orville, Terry, Don L., Bruce and Kelly Taborn; 2 Sisters: Marlice Crittendon and Pauline Curry.
