Shawn M. Rouse, 59, of Carrier Mills, IL died Monday February 20, 2023 at 9:07 pm at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg, IL. Memorial graveside services will be held Tuesday February 28, 2023 at 11 am at Lakeview Cemetery. There will be no visitation, all family and friends should go directly to the cemetery. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. He was born on December 23, 1963 in Harrisburg, IL to Sharon Ann Rouse. Shawn attended and played basketball at Carrier Mills/Stonefort High School. He attended First Opportunity Freewill Baptist Church when he was younger. He had worked on the barges for several years until health his became an issue. He loved watching football, playing basketball and listening to music. He is survived by his Mother: Sharon Ann Rouse of Carrier Mills, IL; Brother: Chris (Brenda) Williams of Salem, IL; Nieces and Nephews: Dustin Helton, Devan Orrill, Amber Williams and Jordan Williams; Uncle: Jesse (Shirley) Rouse of Harrisburg, IL and several cousins, including: Pam Montes of Waukegan, IL
