Shirley June Rose

Shirley June Rose, 76, of Harrisburg, IL formerly of New Burnside, IL died Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 7:47 pm at her residence.   Graveside services will be held Saturday November 17, 2018 at 12 noon at Simmons Cemetery near Creal Springs, IL. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Reverend Gary Simmons will officiate.   She was born on June 4, 1942 in New Burnside, IL to the late Anderson Washington and Wilma Opal (Horn) Newbold.   Shirley married John G. Rose on December 27, 1969 and he preceded in death on May 11, 2013.   She love to cook and go shopping. She was a loving mother and grandmother enjoying her time with her family.   Shirley is survived by 2 Sons: John (Michelle) Walker of Marion, IL and Ricky (Shana) Walker of Central City, KY; Daughter: Tonya Ham of Harrisburg, IL; Sister: Dorothy Swafford of Murphysboro, IL; 8 Grandchildren: Bryce, Ian, Justin, Mollie, Ryan, Emilie, Addyson and Wilson; and 4 Great Grandchildren.   Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Husband: John Rose; Daughter: Carla Deaton and Sister: Mary Jane Evans.
