Shirley A. Trejo, 88, of Carrier Mills, IL died Friday October 27, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. Her wishes were to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details. She was born on August 4, 1935 in Deslodge, Missouri to the late Charles and Lena (Riley) Pilgrim. She was a homemaker and a Christian. She also had acquired multiple masters degrees. She loved to play bingo, reading and watching old western movies. She is survived by 5 children: Sandra White of Harrisburg, IL; Sharlene Angleton of Dyersburg, TN; David Carey of Harrisburg, IL; Flynn Carey of Carrier Mills, IL and Joe Carey of Harrisburg, IL and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Son: Michael Carey; Brother: Charles Pilgrim and Sister Connie Pilgrim.
