Terry Alan Storms

Terry A. Storms, 72, of Harrisburg, IL died Thursday October 1, 2020 at 6:44 am at his residence surrounded by his family. His wishes was to be cremated. There will be no services. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family. Terry was born on November 30, 1947 in Linton, IN to the late Calvin and Thelma (Price) Storms. Terry's family moved from Linton, IN in the 1950's to Carrier Mills, IL. He attended and graduated Carrier Mills/Stonefort High School in 1966. He married the former Leta Sperling on March 6, 1971. He worked several years as a coal miner before the coal industries layoffs and shutdowns. He was then employed for many years at Jim Hayes Inc. as a salesperson until his retirement. Even in retirement Terry had to find things to do, so he got a part time job at the Medicine Shoppe delivering prescriptions to people. A job he truly enjoyed. Terry served for 7 years in the Army reserves and was a member of the Carrier Mills Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his Wife: Leta Storms of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Sons: Brian (Lori) Storms and Brad (Nicole) Storms both of Harrisburg, IL; Brother: Jesse Storms of Indianapolis, IN; and 5 Grandchildren: Brayden Storms, Braxton Storms, Payton Head, Brittney Storms and Brenden Storms all of Harrisburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister: Diana Walls.
