Thomas E. Hancock

Thomas E. Hancock, 79, of Stonefort, IL died Friday December 30, 2022 at 2:40 pm at his residence. Graveside services will be held Tuesday January 3, 2023 at 11 am at Salem Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. There will be no visitation. All friends should go directly to the cemetery. Pastor Ryan Beck will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details. He was born on October 23, 1943 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Harold and Verba (McDonald) Hancock. He married the former Janice “Jan” Tanner on August 15, 1964 and she survives. Tom was a retired coal miner where he worked for many years, he was also a farmer that he enjoyed doing for many years too. Tom loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Harrisburg Gun Club and enjoyed following his favorite team the St. Louis Cardinals. Tom is survived by his Wife: Jan Hancock of Stonefort, IL; Son: Brad Hancock of Stonefort, IL; Daughter: Julie (Todd) Walker of Columbia, MO; 4 Grandchildren: Taylor (Tyler) Athon of Columbia, MO; Jake Walker of Columbia, MO; Matt (Sky) Fowler of Stonefort, IL and Erin (Brian) Morris of Carrier Mills, IL; 4 Great Grandchildren: Easton & Lilah Fowler of Stonefort, IL and Savanna & Timmy Head of Carrier Mills, IL.
