Thomas Nathaniel Wilson III; “Tom/Tommy”; died unexpectedly of a heart attack in Monmouth Medical Center South on 10/10/23 in Lakewood NJ at the age of 53. Tom is survived by his mother, Glenda Evans of Peoria Ill, Wife Tamara Wilson; Children: Julian 28, Drew 26, Raven 22, Cameron 21, Kai 20. Siblings: Tyson Wilson, Tyrin Wilson, Misty Beasley, Lawrence Evans, Nate Evans, Fred Evans and Murial Smith. He is preceded in death by Thomas Wilson II, Fred Evans, Tim Wilson, Doug Evans. Tom was born on 12/28/1969 in Peoria, IL to Glenda Allen (Wilson-Evans)and the late Thomas Wilson II. Tom was a proud Manual Ram graduate (1989). He graduated from SIUE in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts. Tom married Tamara the love of his life and soulmate, in 2015. After moving to New Jersey. Tom began working for A.I.G. as a Claims Vendor Manager. His children remember him as a loving, caring father who always had room for one more and who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Tom was passionate about his family and often hosted family get togethers. He would light up any room with his smile alone, he had a huge personality that you couldn’t ignore. He was an active and devout member of the Phi Beta Sigma organization and often volunteered at various functions. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday October 21, 2023 at Felty Funeral Home 410 Oak St. Carrier Mills, IL 62917 at 12 pm. Visiting hours will be from 11am to 12pm at Felty Funeral Home. Dr. Claude Russell will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tom’s life.
