Wiley Cochran Wilkins, 57, of Carrier Mills, IL died Friday August 12, 2022 at 6:20 pm at his residence surrounded by his family. Homegoing services will be held Thursday August 18, 2022 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Thursday after 10 am until service time. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate and Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral to help with expenses. Wiley was born on February 5, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA the son of Lenora (Chavis) Brown and Andrew Freeman Wilkins. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Carrier Mills, IL and had worked as a coal miner and a handyman for many years before his illness. He is survived by his 4 Children: Jasmine Mahin, Alexander Wilkins, Hazelea Wilkins and Wiley J. Wilkins all of Harrisburg, IL; Mother: Lenora Brown of Carrier Mills, IL; Father: Andrew Freeman Wilkins of Tamms, IL; 4 Brothers: Don Wilkins, Irwin Wilkins and William Harrison all of Carrier Mills, IL and Henry Wilkins of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Sisters: Mary Miller of Carrier Mills, IL and April (Al) Scales of Harrisburg, IL; Grandchild: Camden Thompson and Mother of His Children: Jamie Mahin. He was preceded in death by a Brother: Andrew Wilkins; Nieces and Nephews: Jade Winston, Jerome Mitchell, Jain Miller, Ryan Cowper, Amanda Peacock, Alayshia Peacock and Malayshia Peacock and Brother In Law: James Mahin.
