William "Bill" D. Bardos

William D. “Bill” Bardos, 73, of Harrisburg, IL died Saturday April 25, 2020 at 9:00 am at his residence. It was his request to be cremated. Memorial service will be held Saturday October 16, 2021 at 2 pm at the Carrier Mills American Legion Post 364. Masonic rites will be performed by the Carrier Mills Masonic Lodge and Military Rites will be performed by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the Army National Guard Ritual Team. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is entrusted with the services. He was born on June 22, 1946 in Harrisburg, IL to the late William and Olive Nathalie (Capeheart) Bardos. He married the former Lola Ramsdell on May 30, 1971 and she survives. Bill served his country honorably for many years, He served in the US Army, US Navy and the National Guard. Bill was a member of the Carrier Mills Blazing Star Masonic Lodge 458, Member and former Trustee of the Carrier Mills American Legion Post 364 and devout participant with the Carrier Mills/Harrisburg Honor Guard and Ritual Team. He was also a avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers. Bill is survived by his Wife: Lola Bardos of Carrier Mills, IL; 2 Daughters: Tammie Richter of Florida and Tonya Bardos of Harrisburg, IL; 3 Grandchildren: Alexander Smock and Josh Carter both of Harrisburg, IL and Trace Richter of Florida; and 2 Sisters: Carolyn Quintanilla of Riverton, IL and Maureen Parish of Springfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Brothers: Mike Bardos and Gary Bardos and Sister: Sally Jane Bardos.
