William Lee Kidd

William Lee “Bill” Kidd, 85, of Carrier Mills, IL went home to be with the Lord, March 2, 2024 at 3:10 AM at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 1, 1939 to the late Aaron Lee Kidd and the late Virginia Kidd. Bill grew up in rural Carrier Mills and graduated from Carrier Mills High School in 1956. He worked in numerous coal mines in the area, farmed and retired in 2000 from I.O.U.E. after working on Olmstead Lock and Dam. Bill married the love of his life, Charline Belt, on June 20, 1970. They would have celebrated 54 years together this June. Bill was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Harrisburg. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Charline, 2 daughters: Stacey (Shain) Miller and Marcey (Britt) Martin of Carrier Mills, 2 step children that he raised and loved as his own: Carolyn (Darrell) Osman and Donald “Donnie” Rash of Harrisburg, 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 8 step great-grandchildren, and 2 step great, great-grandchildren due in June and August, brother: Arthur (Brenda) Kidd, nephew: Michael (Beth) Kidd, and niece: Nikki Kidd. Proceeded in death by both his parents, daughter SusanLynn, brother Jim Kidd and nephew Phillip Kidd. Funeral services will be held Friday March 8, 2024 at 1PM at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be Friday after 10AM. and conducted by Pastor Chris Winkleman, Pastor Dylan Luce, and Brother Bud Logeman with burial in Providence Cemetery.
