Iva Marie Crittendon

Iva M. Crittendon, 90, of Carrier Mills, IL died Saturday February 25, 2023 at 4:25 pm at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held Wednesday March 1, 2023 at 11 am at Lakeview Cemetery in Carrier Mills, IL. There will be no visitation, all friends should go directly to the cemetery. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL is assisting the family with the details. She was born on August 29, 1932 in Harrisburg, IL to the late Chester and Genevieve (Whitehead) Winston. She married William J. Crittendon on August 24, 1952 and he preceded in death on November 20, 2012. Through her lifetime she had many jobs, she was a substitute school teacher at the former Carrier Mills Dunbar School; she worked for many years as a retail clerk at Myron's dress store in Harrisburg, IL and she also was employed at Harrisburg National Bank as a bank teller until her retirement. She was a member of the Carrier Mills A.M.E. Baber Chapel, worked as a volunteer at the TCT network for many years and was a former trustee for the Carrier Mills/ Stonefort Public Library. Iva is survived by her Son: William A. Crittendon of Harrisburg, IL; 2 Grandchildren: Garrett Crittendon of Eldorado, IL and Malory Crittendon of Harrisburg, IL; 4 Great Grandchildren: Zander Crittendon and Jonathon Meredith both of Eldorado, IL and Aniyah Crittendon and Asher Crittendon both of Harrisburg, IL; Sister: Sharon Young of Bellwood, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
