Joyce Vickers

Joyce Vickers, 80, of Stonefort, IL died Sunday June 30, 2019 at 4:45 pm at her residence.   Funeral services will be held Friday July 5, 2019 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 am until service time. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery and Reverend Keith Bunfill will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.   Joyce was born on May 3, 1939 in Chicago, IL to the late Otis and Florence (Douglas) Hiatt.   Joyce married Walter “Bud” Vickers on December 15, 1962 and he preceded in death on February 8, 2012.   Joyce was a member of the Stonefort Missionary Baptist Church, the Red Hat Society; former Trustee of the Village of Stonefort and an avid supporter of the St. Judes Childrens network.   Joyce is survived by 4 Sons: Ron Maple Jr. of Marion, IL; Doug (Olivia) Vickers of Stonefort, IL; Walter (Debbie) Vickers Jr. of Marion, IL and Ben Vickers of Carrier Mills, IL; Daughter: Deborah Hunt of Decatur, IL Sister In Law: Jeanie Vickers of Stonefort, IL; 15 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 14 great great granchildren.   Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Brother: Alan Hiatt and Grandchild: Jennifier Hampton.
