Judy Kay Yates

Judy Kay Yates, 75, of Carrier Mills, IL died Monday August 2, 2021 at 8:35 am at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday August 5, 2021 at 12 Noon at the Carrier Mills Social Brethren Church. Visitation will be held Thursday after 10 am until service time. Reverend Jerry Wells and Reverend Charles Curry will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in lieu of flowers. Felty Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Judy was born on September 3, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late James W. “Billy” and Barbara Helen (Wolland) Parks. She married Melvin Yates on May 1, 1966 and he survives. She was owner and operator of J & M Cleaning services for many years. Judy loved to do crafts and was a member of the Carrier Mills Social Brethren Church. Judy is survived by her Husband: Melvin Yates of Carrier Mills, IL; Sister: Jean Tanner of Carrier Mills, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews including: Jennifer Naas of Shawneetown, IL; Tara Hadley of Carrier Mills, IL; Stephanie Milligan of Carrier Mills, IL and Jim Swan of Carrier Mills, IL; Sister In Law: Phyllis Lanz of Omaha, NE. Judy was preceded in death by a Niece: Sheryl Swan and Brother In Law: Wayne Tanner.
