Obituary Tony Blackwell, Jr., 85, of Carrier Mills, IL died Thursday September 6, 2018 at 1:10 pm at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home.   Funeral services will be held Friday September 14, 2018 at 12 Noon at Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills, IL. Visitation will be after 10 am on Friday. Reverend Ownly Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery and Military Rites will be held by the Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and the Army National Guard Ritual Team.   He was born on September 11, 1932 in Indian Mound, TN to the late Tony Blackwell and Corrine (Alark) Chavous.   He married the former Frances Evans on August 1, 1975 and she preceded in death on December 14, 2005.   He was a retired railroad worker, member of the Harvest Deliverance Center in Harrisburg, IL and an Army Veteran of the Korean War.   He is survived by 8 Children: Jeffrey Blackwell of Dawson, MI; Janice Blackwell of California; Anthony Blackwell of New York; Jody Blackwell of Grand Rapids, MI and Anita Mills of Colorado; Lana Taborn and Valado Taborn both of Carrier Mills, IL and Carla Ross of Jamaica; Brother: Harlan Portee of Carrier Mills, IL; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife: Frances Blackwell; and Son: Kevin Taborn.
